I bought a Pro Micro and it is Arduino Leonardo compatible, since it has Atmega32U4, it can be used as HID mouse or keyboard. In order to control VLC I used this as a HID keyboard. As to the two boards, they use different avrs. the U4 has amazing analog features, but most pro micros don't route out AIN0/AIN1 - rendering them as the same as pro mini. that's a shame. I saw in the code that there's some BETA code there for Atmega32u4 boards, so if I use the pro micro and uncomment the code, will the arduino work with the code, the PARIS and the sensors, or has it only been tested with custom made pcb's
